UMBC baseball won their second straight and third of their last four with a 4-2 victory against George Mason on Wednesday night. The Retrievers got a good start from freshman Mitchell Wilson (Hagerstown, Md./St. James), who picked up his first collegiate victory.

UMBC baseball looks to continue their momentum from Wednesday evening’s win over George Mason, their third in four games, as they take on Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday at Alumni Field. Originally scheduled for a home-and-home series, the two will play just a double header Sunday due to weather.

The UMBC baseball team won their fifth straight game, and sixth out of their last seven, 5-4 over Delaware (15-12) on Wednesday night. A big five-run fourth inning gave the Retrievers (8-11) the lead and they never looked back.

The UMBC baseball team looks to extend their five-game win streak, when they travel to Binghamton to take on the Bearcats in an America East weekend series. The Retrievers, winners of six of their past seven games, redeemed an early season lost to Delaware on Wednesday night as a big fourth inning lead them to a 5-4 victory.

UMBC baseball dropped their series opener with Binghamton, 9-1 on Saturday. The Retrievers were held to seven hits, as the Bearcats scored eight unanswered in the middle of the game to earn the victory.

UMBC baseball won game one before falling in game two of a double header against Binghamton on Sunday. Senior Andrew Casali (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) led the offense with seven hits between the two games.

UMBC baseball will travel to Arlington, Va. to take on George Washington on Tuesday, before hosting Coppin State on Wednesday. The Retrievers are coming off a 1-2 weekend against Binghamton that saw them fall in the opener 9-1 before splitting the last two games with a 12-3 victory and 11-2 loss.

UMBC baseball took the lead after being down 1-0, but a late inning run by the Colonials propelled them to a 3-2 victory on Tuesday. Senior Hunter Dolshun (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley) had a pair of hits and RBI in the loss.

After delaying the series finale between the Retrievers and River Hawks due to weather, UMBC came from behind to take the series rubber match 5-2 on Sunday. Freshman Christian Torres (Miami, Fla./Miami Senior) and junior Jamie Switalski (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) each drove in two RBI to lead the Retrievers.

UMBC baseball begins a ten game road trip at Georgetown on Tuesday night, after taking two of three from America East rival UMass Lowell this past weekend. The Retrievers dropped game one before taking games two and three to win the series and move to 13-17, 7-5 AE.
